Donation Guidelines
To help us manage the flow of donations effectively, please limit your donation to 2x bags or 2x boxes per donation.
What You Can Donate
These items help us create Emergency Home Starter Packs and support individuals moving into permanent housing. All items must be clean, safe, and in good condition.
- Everyday crockery, dining sets, cutlery & utensils
- Pots, pans, and other cookware
- Bed linen, towels, and unopened Christmas gift sets
- Furniture (beds, sofas, dining tables & chairs) with fire labels*
- Bedroom furniture including wardrobes, drawers, and bedside tables
- Soft furnishings (curtains, cushions, rugs) with fire labels*
- White goods and small electricals in working condition
- TVs and computer consoles
- Clothing, shoes, and accessories
- Children’s toys, books & games
- Mobility aids
- High-chairs, baby baths & cots
What We Can’t Accept
These items cannot be reused for safety, legal, or environmental reasons—and they add disposal costs we’d rather put toward support services.
- Wall units or large display cabinets
- Bicycles and bric-a-brac
- Broken or heavily worn stained furniture
- Mattresses, sofas, or chairs with rips, tears or stains and without fire labels*
- Damaged or faulty electrical items or white goods
- Used safety equipment (e.g., crash helmets)
- Children’s car seats and baby mattresses
- Gas appliances or heaters
- Ivory, fur, or taxidermy
- Counterfeit or copyright-infringing items
- DVDs, VHS tapes, and cassette media
- Mobility items that are incomplete or unsafe
- *Fire labels are mandatory tags on UK upholstered furniture that confirm compliance with fire safety standards, often stating “Carelessness Causes Fire” and including traceable details like batch numbers and material descriptions.
